Well guys, the Penguins are in the Stanley Cup Final. I don't think I can consider myself a true Pens fan because I'll admit I only started watching once they made it into the playoffs. But with all the Penguins playoff hype, I had to take a trip to Primanti's to try their newest sandwich. Here's a little backstory If you weren't paying attention in the last series with Tampa Bay. The popularity of the Penguins line of Carl Hagelin, Nick Bonino, and Phil Kessel erupted and was promptly known as the HBK line. After a Twitter explosion, the original HBK, Shawn Michaels, heard about his namesake hockey line and arranged to come see Game 5 at CONSOL. The HBK hysteria was so real that Primanti's created a new sandwich named the HBK. And I finally talked Emma into going last night...
Real quick: I can't be the only one who wants Phil Kessel to come onto the ice like this...

It was a heavy downpour the night that I was introduced to the sandwich that I knew could never break my heart. Hurriedly opening the Excela Health umbrella necessary for a dry trek to the door, I exited the vehicle and went to open Emma's door. We were soon sitting in expectation for our meal when suddenly...
The HBK was placed in front of me. And then the carnage.
This is the look of satisfaction. The sandwich included ham, bacon, and kielbasa; I will never forget it. It was beautiful. The perfect culinary depiction of who is, in my opinion, the best professional wrestler of all time...Shawn Michaels.

As I write this post today, I finish the leftovers that I accompanied me home that wonderful night. And the sandwich was even better today. I had a night to sleep on it and dream. Today my dreams were fulfilled.
